MATARAM, — The International Ironman 70.3 Lombok event is getting closer. As many as 406 participants from 33 countries are ready to compete in the sporting event. The participants consisted of 364 individual participants and 42 relay participants who were members of 16 teams.
The Executive Director of ISM, Arie S. Sukirno, when he confirmed this via his cell phone, Friday (30/09) said that the final participants were a total of 406, 364 individuals, 42 relays joined in 16 teams. There were 250 local participants and 156 international participants from 33 countries including Indonesia.
He explained, Ironman 70.3 Lombok in 2022, there were 3 participants from NTB, namely M. Kadri, Yan Bachtiar and Qori. The last name mentioned is a female athlete.
As is known, Ironman itself is the mecca of the sport of Triathlon which is a sport with the largest platform in the world. With a total distance of 113.1 Km, the participants had to go through three stages at once, starting from the One Lap-Swim Course (1.9 Km swimming), One Lap-Bike Course (90.1 Km cycling) and the Two Laps-Run Course.
